From 1968 Cadbury made a brand of chocolates called Black Cat.
They were made in my home state of Tasmania, Claremont. My Great Aunt and Grandmother were big fans of the chocolate and they both kept the little plastic black cats that were a limited edition attachment to the boxes in the 70s.
I do recall my Great Aunt giving me a cat when i was a kid, but I lost it along the way to adulthood.
When my Grandmother passed away in 2014 I found another cat inside an old tin. I bet she hid it in there for me because I loved those tins and she said I could have them when she was gone.
The sterling silver used to make the cats has been rolled to flatten the cats a bit in this edition and I have added a patina. Length 3.3cm x 1.2 wide.
I can reproduce the cats as they were in 1974 and make them into silver earrings without the rolling and patina. Please let me know if you would like a pair like that.
